PAPAMOA CLUB'S PROGRESS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TE PUKE, Friday. • The annual meeting of the Papamoa Surf Life-Saving Club was held last evening, Mr. G. Ward presiding over a large attendance of members. A credit balance of £3 17/8 was reported. Mr. F. Chapman congratulated the club on the good progress made by its team during the first year of . its inauguration. Mr. J. Dickson and Miss Nancy Riddell were elected life members. It was resolved to ' communicate with other clubs in the Bay of Plenty regarding the formation of a Bay of Plenty Surf Association. The election .of officers resulted as follows*:— Patron, Mr. A. W. Chapman; president, Mr. C. Riddell; vice-presidents, Messrs. G. Perkins, E. Morton, -J: Dickson, R. McEldowney, R. Fen ton and C. Pevreal; hon. secretary, Mr. O. Taylor; treasurer, Mr. G. Perkins; club captain, Mr. H. Pile; vicecaptain, Mr. O. Taylor; committee, officers ex officio and Messrs. W Pile, G. ,Ward, J. Riddell, R. Wilkins* B. Wilkins, N. Perkins, L. Fagan, if. Tchau and F. Chapman.
