FATALLY INJURED.
WOMAN STRUCK BY CAR. ACCIDENT AT TAKAPUNA. Knocked down by a motor car in Takapuna just after six o'clock last night, a middle-aged woman, Mrs. Violet Push, aged 37, of Victoria Iload, Takapuna, was fatally injured. Mrs. Rush was the wife of Mr. George Newton Rush, engineer, of Eden Terrace. There are no children. The, accident occurred near the corner of Victoria and Eversleigh Roads. Mrs. Rush had waited for a car travelling towards Devonport to pass, and then, as she began to cross the road behind it, she was knocked down by a car going the other way, driven bv Mr. Douglas Broady, of Northcote. It was found that Mrs. Rush had suffered a fracture of her skull, and after attention had been given her by Dr. Stuart B. MacKay, a St. John ambulance was summoned from Devonport to take her to hospital, where she died an hour after admission.
