MUNICIPAL BAND.

A FURTHER TRIAL. PERIOD OF TWELVE MONTHS. The Auckland City Council decided last evening to give the Municipal Band a further trial for twelve months, under the supervision of the Mayor and Messrs. B. Martin and C. Bailey. A report presented stated that the first practice of the band was held on October 13, 1924, and that the cost of formation was £4050. The total cost of the band to date was £33,019, and the amount earned by the band other than City Council payments for the same period was £4018.
