BEEF IN DEMAND. GOOD PRICES REALISED. STEER FETCHES £14 6/. Beef prices at Westfleld to-day showed a slight rising tendency compared with last week, especially amongst the heavier cattle. Towards the end of the beef section late rates were well maintained. The, top price for steers was up to £14 6/, as compared with £13 last week This price was obtained for a steer sold on account of E. T. ISain, of Rangiriri. Some of Mr. H. E. Heed's steers from Waerenga brought up to £14, while from £10 up to £12 was quickly obtained for some of the other lots. Amongst the cows, as high as £10 10/ was bid and the market was firm.
