Towards the end of the beef section late rates were well maintained. The, top price for steers was up to £14 6/, as compared with £13 last week This price was obtained for a steer sold on account of E. T. ISain, of Rangiriri. Some of Mr. H. E. Heed's steers from Waerenga brought up to £14, while from £10 up to £12 was quickly obtained for some of the other lots. Amongst the cows, as high as £10 10/ was bid and the market was firm.
