WAIKATO TROTTING CLUB.
TAXATION REBATE GRANTED. VACANCIES ON COMMITTEE FILLED (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. "Ainounting to £500, a rebate of 2% per cent on taxation lias been made by the Government, and tins greatly relieves our financial problem," said Mr. T. vr. Reynolds, president of the Waikato Trotting Club at the annual meeting this morning. "Largely through the generosity of the Waikato A. and P. Association our only debt now is an overdraft at the bank of £3000." The president struck an optimistic note regarding the possibility of the club gaining additional permits. He added that the club had one of the best grass tracks in' the North Teland, and was expected to maintain it on two days lacing a year.
