Japanese Government Replies To Britain. CONFERENCE DUE THIS YEAR. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 32.30 p.m.) RUGBY, August 20. Jt is stated that the text of the Japanese Government's reply to the British Government's recent memorandum on the subject of preliminary multilateral conversations in connection with the Naval Conference, due to be held this year under the Washington Treaty, was received at the 1 oreign Oflicc to-day. It is understood the trench Government lias already replied to the memorandum.
