Lamb market: Remains firm for lightweights, with tendency shade easier for the heavy-weights. Consumption continues good, but heavier supplies of homekilled are now being marketed. Mutton: Wethers very firm. Prices have advanced owing to short spot stocks. Ewes —Lightweights, market steady and unchanged; other weights at slightly better prices. Beef: Quiet and steady, with trade slow owing to low prices of chilled beef. New Zealand porker pigs: Market firm at increased prices owing to more inquiry. Baconers: Nominal. Very few available.
