FAREWELL TO MINISTER.

SERVICES AT ST. STEPHEN'S. Marking th- conclusion of 14 years' service as minister of the church, wellattended services were conducted at St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, Ponsonby, by the Rev. Frazer B. Barton yesterday as a farewell to his congregation. Mr. Barton leaves on Friday to take charge of St. Andrew's, Gore. Presentations of a silver tea service and cups were made to Mr. and Mrs. Barton by the Bible class members at a tea held during the afternoon. In the evening the church organist, Mr. W. H. Simpson, gave an organ recital before the service. The solos were sung, by Misses Jean Morrison »nd O. Ball and Mr. A. isornson. There was a f'lll attendance of Bible class members and a parade by the girl guides and the boys' brigade at the service. A farewell social will be held in the church hall on Wednesday evening.
