N.S.W. GOVERNMENT.
ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES. (Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The State Cabinet has approved administrative changes in the functions of the State Government Departments necessitating a rearrangement of portfolios. The Government Whip, Mr. J. B. Shand, will be promoted to the position of an Assistant Minister without portfolio. Mr. E. S. Spooner takes the title of Minister of Works and Local Government, and Mr. Hawkins ,will be Minister of Social Services. The changes have been made to promote economy, increase efficiency and avoid overlapping and duplication.
