ADVENTURES IN NORTH.

Exhausted' and famished, Mr. Talbot Sewell, of the postal engineering staff, who had been touring the Northern Territory, staggered into Brunette Downs recently after being without food for seven days. After riding from Brisbane by motor cycle, he entered the Northern Territory and continued to make his way north by easy stages in search of buffalo shooting. He encountered a number of adventures on his trip, and his machine was damaged several times on the rough tracks on which he travelled. About 80 miles from Brunette Downs he was caught in a terrific rain etorni which flooded all the watercourses. He was forced to abandon his cycle and walk without food through the 80 miles of bog and mud to the station. When he arrived he had been without food for seven days. A few days later he was none the worse for his experience.
