HOSPITAL AUXILIARY.
MONTHLY REPORTS. At the monthly meeting of the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary held yesterday afternoon reports of work done by the various branches were received. The city sewing circle report was presented by Mrs. Howden, that of the Mount Eden branch by Mrs. -K. E. Devereux and that of Onehunga by Mrs. Kirkham. The president, Mrs. A. Kidd, presided. The report for July from the depot stated that it had been necessary to buy material for out-patients, underclothing and footwear for men and women ana wool for the nurses' homo. Orders hnd also given for malt, five orders for milk, eggs and butter and one for firewood and coal. The auxiliary had received from Morningside ten parcels of second-hand clothing and a wireless set for the children's hospital and also parcels from the city sewing circle, the Mount Eden branch and the nurses' home, Hender son, New Lynn and Waiuku. The report from the distributing department disclosed that ten dressing gowns, 14 bedjackets, one outfit of baby clothes and 112 miscellaneous articles had been supplied to the wards, while (on -vards had been provided with slippers. Out-patients had received 101 articles of clothing, 16 quilts had been given to the district nurses to be given to patients, and under Dr. J. W. Craven's supervision tram tickets had been supplied to seven patients.
