WHIPPET RACING.

OTAHUHU'S FIRST MEETING. The opening meeting of the recentlyformed Otahuhu Whippet Racing Clul) is to bo held at the Prince's Street Reserve, Otahuhu, on Saturday afternoon next. To give added interest to the meeting a "Wheelbarrow Sprint" ovor a course of approximately one mile, will be hold, and so numerous are the entries that the committee lias been forced to alter the. course to avoid interference with the traffic on Great South Road. This race commences at 2 p.m. at the corner of High Street. Mr. C. Clark's handicaps for the whippet races: — Improvers' Handicap (150 yards).—First heat: Air. T.
