NEARLY 165,000 ON JUNE 30. An increase of 34,076 in the number of radio licensee in force on Juno 30 last, compared with the- corresponding d.-itc of 1034, ie reported by the Director - General of the Postal Department, the latest total being 1(54.977. This includes listeners' licenses, distributed as follows: Auckland, 49,911; Canterbury, 29,552; Otago, 22,410; Wellington, 00,8Sti; total, 1(52,759. The grand total also includes 82a experimental amateur licensee, 340 granted free to blind persons, and 1020 dealers' licenses.
