The first challenge match of the season for the Waitangi Shield will be played at Carl aw Park to-morrow afternoon, when the holders of the trophy lamaki will meet a strong side from North Auckland. Play will commence at 3 p.m. and it will be preceded by Maori hakas. lhere will be no curtain-raiser. Keen interest is being displayed in the contest, which promises to produce fast and open football of the type usually served up by members of the Maori race.
