AWAPUNI TRACK.

MANAWATU MEETING. TUDOR AND CARDHU. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTOX XORTH, this day. Although heavy rain- fell yesterday a strung wind is rapidly drying up the track at Awapuni, and fair conditions prevailed this morning, when candidates for the Manawatu Racing Club's meeting wore galloped. Xote Issue ran three furlongs in 39 2-os. Although the filly carried on she was eased up in the next furlong, taking 15 4-ss. Evasion jumped away at the eight and a half furlongs post, being picked up by Full Throttle at the sevenfurlong peg. The pair then ran their last seven furlongs in 1.40. Evasion ran the mile in 1.55 1-5, the first three furlongs in 42 2-se, and they were still together at the close. Round Score and Hunting Lodge, botli with substantial weights, were not oft" the bit while running five furlongs in 1.11. Santoft was a length clear of Te Rangitumau at the close of seven furlongs in 1.41 4-5. the first two taking 29 2-ss, and the half-mile 5Ss. Hilton Gorse, with a substantial advantage in the weights, was three lengths in front of Pylon at the end of half a mile in 55 4-ss, after taking 14 l-5s for the initial furlong. Gold Cure, with a lightweight up. ran *ix furlongs in 1-22 1-5, after running tfie first three in o9 4-os. Happy Hunting, with a lightweight in the saddle, ran five furlongs in 1.8 1-5. after covering the first two in 275.

Riotous and Cardhu were associated in a couple of rounds of the country, the latter giving a very pleasing display. Riotous being a little careless at Ins fences.

Tudor and Esteem stayed togeth-T throughout a round of the hurdles. Tudor fenced beautifully, and had the advantage in thin respect.

Saltepray, who apparently has made a good recovery from the injury he received at Wellington, went, a couple of rounds on the sand at a strong pace.
