BURGLARS' HAUL.
ONEHUNGA MILL. STOCK WORTH £100 TAKEN. REMOVED THUOTJCKH WINDOW. During the height of the storm early this morning burglars broke into the warehouse portion of the Onehunga Woollen Mills factory in Neilson Street, Onehunga, and stole rugs and blankets valued at nearly £100. It was the fourth thieving raid on the same premises during the last three years. On the first occasion the burglars drew a blank, the second time they stole a large quantity of woollen goods, and about a year ago the safe was "cracked," and a fairly substantial haul m cash obtained. As the result of these periodical visits by burglars the Onehunga Woollen Mills, Ltd., had electric lights fitted in different positions near the building to ensure the factory being well lighted. But these precautions and the fact that a man sleeps on the premises made no difference to the burglars who raided the premises last night or early this morning. At 3 o'clock this morning the warehouse was visited and everything was found to be in order, but at 6.4.1 a.m. the discovery was made that a window in Neilson Street had beeu forced. The thieves showed discrimination and evidently spent some time on the premises for they stole only the best quality Merino rugs and blankets. The woollen goods were taken out through the window. Until the inward and outward sales books have been examined and a complete stock taking made it -will not be possible accurately to ascertain the value of the rugs and blankets stolen. However, it is believed that approximately the value of the stolen goods is nearly £100. <"
