COMEDY OF ERRORS.

Sir A. Chamberlain's Son Held By Wahabis. FRONTIER MISTAKE. (Received 10.30 a.m.) JERUSALEM, July 21. Lieutenant Joseph Chamberlain, son of Sir Austen Chamberlain, who is serving with the Transjordan frontier force, is reported to have been captured by Wahabis while on a pleasure excursion with a patrol in Hedjaz territory. The "Sunday Express" diplomatic correspondent is informed that Lieutenant Chamberlain was in charge of two Army transport cars when he inadvertently crossed the frontier and was detained. A Foreign Office official told the "Sunday Times" that the land is all desert with nothing to mark the border. It is really a comedy of errors. There is no ill-feeling. ( An Amman message says that Lieutenant Chamberlain's release was arranged through diplomatic channels.
