MOTORS PASSING TRAMS
A matter that requires the attention of the authorities is the manner in which motor cars race past tranicars just as the latter are pulling up. In numerous instances the motorist does not succeed, and before he can pull up he is half-way along the tranu-ar. 1 understand there is a by-law requiring motor cars to stop before reaching the c:ul of a tramcar if the latter has conic to a standstill. and if so it seems to be more honoured in the breach than otherwise. Some years ago, when a case of this nature came 'before Mr. F. K. Hunt. S.M.. at Wellington, he remarked.
