Our Sunshine Gifts.

This week there has been no falling off in the amazing number of patches -that usually find their way to Budgetland. Apart from the big gift of 60 from the Moerewa School children, another equally large parcel of 40 arrived from "Nan," of Glen Eden. Two girl members, Gweneth and Ida Johns, knitted us 32 patches, and a parcel of 30 with no name or address enclosed was also receivejd. This seemed to Peter Pan and I as though it might possibly be a school gift, in which case we are wondering if the omission of the giver's name was an oversight.

Rosme Skeen, of Heme Bay, sent us 18 patches, and Merle Blackie, of Birkenhead, 15. Nancy Ruthe's parcel contained 14, and "J.C.'s" 13. There was quite a big bunch of

"twelves," and how very welcome they were, Sunbeams, dear. The first arrived from Iris Dutton, of Waihi, the next from Mrs. McLean, of Remuera, and the third from our very enerr getic Te Puke friend, Betty Turner.

"Helping Hands" (Whangarei) and Edna and Billy Long were others from whom parcels of twelve patches were received.

"Gwen and Edna" sent a little pair of pilchers with their three patches; ten patches and two little caps and a scarf came from Venice Hemmingsen, of Palmerston North, and several small

"Joan and Les" s,ent a parcel of toys with their three patches, while from "R. on the Friendly Road" came a pair of pilchers and two singlets. Phylh'6 Prenter is another Sunbeam who contributed a singlet, and a further two came from These two at "M.M.'s" special request 1 have given to the wee baby girl 1 told you of several weeks ago. Baby Tess (her name is really Theresa) is growing into a darling little soul, and so good. She is quite a little bundle of chuckles. Two pairs of bed socks were "Helen and Donald's" gift, and another two pairs of bootees came from our wellknown and good friend "A Sunbeam's Mother." Betty Meldrum, of Taihape, knitted us two singlets, and Dorothy i Renner, of Marlborough, one.

And now, dear Sunbeams, 1 think I must stop. Do you know, I tell Peter Pan that before the campaign is over 1 shall have writer's cramp. These days I seem to spend all my time writing letters to my Sunbeams. Much love to you all and my best thanks.
