Campaign Closes July 31.

HURRY ALONG YOUR PATCHES, SUNBEAMS. Dear Sunbeams, When you read this letter party day will be round again, and I only hope those of my Sur.beams who passed the day with us spent ever so jolly a time and went home happy. I am not writing you a long letter this week—we are »o busy with party preparations—but I must remind you that our campaign is very nearly over—there are only 10 more days to go. Do not forget all patches by July 31 please—all Sunshine gifts at the "Star" office before the end of the month. And now, as we are not going to have very much space to spare this week, 1 must hurry and tell you about some of our Sunshine parcels. The first and the biggest parcel to arrive came from the children of the Moerewa School, who knitted us 60 patches. (Well done, Moerewa!) Two country readers, Bruce and Laurel Vant, of Waihopo, contributed a really lovely knitted quilt. (I do wish some of our other boy readers would follow Bruce's example!) Our very good friend "Scraps" (Wnnganui River) sent us the sweetest winceyette petticoat and a later post brought a pound note from this same kindly helper. Lovealice Grierson, of Gisborne, was another Sunbeam who contributed a quilt, as well as a scarf and beret for Jeannie, and a parcel of clothes. The next parcel to arrive came 'from "F.M.C.," who sent the daintiest lemon knitted set for a wee girl, as well as three pairs of bootees, a bonnet and a pair of pilchers. (Tink. and 1 admired the parcel ever so much, "F.M.C.") Another equally beautiful parcel arrived from our very consistent helper, Mrs. Lambert, of Dominion Road, who sent us two of the dearest little dressing gowns I have seen for a long while, one pink and one blue, a cot blanket and two singlets. The little dressing gowns we have given to two special wee tots, Monica, who is four, and Laura, who is just recovering from a long illness.
