LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
JUNIOR MANAGEMENT,
At the meeting of the junior management committee of the Auckland Rugby League last evening, Mr. D. Wiikie presiding, it was decided that a full round of the A and B sections should constitute the knock-out competition. An application by Northcote Ramblers for a senior fixture at Stafford Park was referred to the senior board. It was reported that in connection with Point Chevalier v. Waiuku second grade match on Saturday, the action taken for the appointment of a neutral referee was endorsed. . An inquiry from the Ngaruawahia Club for a visit from a third grade club side from Auckland, was favourably recommended. The Ellerslie Club successfully challenged the weight of two Akarana players and was awarded the fifth grade match plaved on Saturday. Two fifth grade olayers were severely cautioned for a first offence of misbehaviour on the field.
With the exception of three players named, the recent disqualification of the Manukau third grade A team, was uplifted, the club being notified that the team coach was not deemed a suitable person to have charge of a team. The action of the emergency committee in the transfer of I. Wilson, of Papakura senior B to Mount Albert, was endorsed. The Manukau Club supported the uplifting of the suspension of G- Carroll, this being granted. Transfers: O. Astrella, Richmond seconds to Mount Albert; G. Carroll. Manukau A to Devonport reserves; A. Howlev, Akarana thirds to Ponsonby second's; C. Wells and R. Farrell, Point Chevalier to Glenora. j
