WHANGAREI NOTES.
Mrs. D. Buckley and Miss Lena Bechre are spending a holiday in Auckland. The Misses Irene MucKenzie and Addie Croot, of Cross Street, left by car last Monday on a visit to Mrs. S. R. Roman, Point Chevalier, Auckland. Mr. and, Mrs. P. Patterson are holidaying with relatives at Devonport. ]\lr. and Mrs. W. Maitland, formerly of Whangarei, have been spending a short holiday as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Len Haden. prior to their leaving to take up residence in England. Mrs. Len'Haden, Devcron Street, was hostess at a very jolly party on Wednesday evening, as a farewell gesture to Mr. and Mrs. W. Maitland. Bridge, music and dancing whiled away a very pleasant evening. Mrs. L. Holt, of Matamata, is visiting Whangarei, and is the guest of Dr. and Mm. Hall. Mrs. A. H. Crane returned 011 Tuesday from a" short visit to Auckland. Mrs. Holmes is staying with friends at Te Puke. On a visit to Whangarei is Mrs. MeKinstry's sister, Mrs. McAnney, of Hamilton, who is the guest' of Mrs. G. Woollcy.
