CASE AGAINST BANK.
W. D. LYSNAR'S LITIGATION.
COURT FIXES COSTS. (Isy Telegraph.—rress Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. A point ill connection with the recent judgment of the Privy Council in the action of William Douglas Lysnar against the National Bank of New Zealand, Limited, has been decided by the Court of Appeal. According to that judgment Lysnar was held entitled to succeed in the appeal in his action against the bank, involving £50,919. The point to be decided by the Court of Appeal was the amount of costs to which Lysnar was entitled in respect of the hearing of bis action in the Court of Appeal prior to its being taken to the Privy Council. The Court this morning 'fixed costs at 2Z guineas and disbursements, holding that Lysnar was not entitled to the full scale as he was not now a practising solicitor.
