RELIEF ARRIVES.

Oonah Reaches the Stranded

Maheno,

QUESTION OF SALVAGING.

BRISBANE, July 11

Tho Oonah reached the stranded Maheno, on Fraser Island, this morning. A message from Sydney states that Banks Brothers, representatives there of the owners of the Maheno and the Oonah, received advice that the latter was not able to commence salvage operations owing to the heavy swell. As the weather is moderating, however, the task should not be long delayed. Marine authorities in Sydney think salvage will become increasingly difficult with the sand piling up against the stranded vessel, owing to the recent rough conditions along the coast of Queensland.
