Chief feature of this morning's trailing was unusual activity in Bank of New Zealand shares, which sold freely on the basis of yesterday's valuations... Six parcels were placed at £2 12/6, and subsequently three changed hands at 2d less. The market then rested between £2 12/ and £2 12/6. Apart from this, the market displayed a buoyant tone, and a substantial turnover was recorded. Farmers' Auctioneering retained the recent gain, and after further business at £4 5/ a sale of the £5 scrip was made at 1/ higher. In the Brewery section buyers for New Zealands raised their offers to £2 14/ without bringing any response from holders. Government stocks showed virtually no change. Waihis have firmed up again, with quotations from £1 17/3 to £1 17/0. Wilsons Cements were easier, with j sellers at £1 19/ and buyers stopping at £1 IS/6, The Noon Call. Bidding was quieter at noon, and there were not many changes from the morning's quotations. Bank of New Zealands showed no alteration. Staples' Breweries reflected Southern firmness when holders moved their reserves up to . £.1 .16/6, but buyers stopped again at £1 .13/6. Sellers of Waihis dropped ■ their resorves 3d, to £1 17/0.
