POST OFFICE AT NGAKURA,

Recently representations were made by the Rotorua County Council to the Chief Postmaster, the Hon. Adam Hamilton, for the establishment of a post pffice at the Ngakuru settlement. At a meeting of the council yesterday a reply was received that the business offering would not justify the Department in incurring the extra expense entailed in the establishment of the office. The Chief Postmaster also pointed out that at .present settlers had a delivery four days a week by private bag, whereas if the post office were established delivery would be possible only on two days a week.
