HUNTING THRILLS.

EOTORUA-BAY OF PLENTY. (Prom Our Own Correspondent.) ROTORUA, Thursday. After a period of two years the Rotorua and Bay of Plenty Hunt Clubv resumed mid-week hunts yesterday and followers enjoyed the best hunt so far held on land adjacent to the town, three kills resulting. The first hare broke cover when the hunt was crossing Mr. H. P. Ford's property and provided a seven-mile chase over adjoining property. Huntsmen were provided with a thrill when hounds in single file and hot pursuit ran through a swamp, sending up spray to either 6ide. A kill was eventually made after one of the best runs in the club's hunts. Two further hares put up during the afternoon both eventuated in kills, and after these runs followers were entertained at afternoon tea by Mr. and Mrs. H. Hardeastle.
