PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The usual meeting of the Auckland branch was held at headquarters on Wednesday morning. Airs. T. C. Allan presided, and those present weie: Sinclair-Lock hart, Alesdames R. Coleman, N. Duthie, C. Webb, T. Russell, E. Roche, G. Fowlds, E. Cronin, R. Milligan, F. Hudson, C. White, L. Dawson, R. Towle, W. H. Worrall, A. C. Paterson, H. P. Richmond, D. Poison, L. Slirubsall, B. Alackenzie, H. Kirkcr, W. H. Parkes, A. Donald, S. 'Kenrick, D. 00-ilvie, Cordock (Ellerslie), Melvor, and Nield (Otaliuhu), A. Campbell and Letlibridge (Northcote), Cowell and Bissett TOnehunga), N. Campbell (Birkenhead), and Aliss Colegrove. A hearty vote of thanks was carried by acclamation to Alessrs. Aiilne and Clioyce and their staff, for their wonderful help and co-operation in the running of the recent photogralipic exhibition. There arc still u great many photographs at the Plunket rooms waiting to be claimed. Donationss of five guineas from the sub-committces of Nortlicoto and Takapuna, and of three guineas from Otahuhu towards the upkeep of Karitane were received with acclamation. Airs. Kenneth Alyers was elected a member of the committee. Arrangements were discussed for the holding of the provincial conference on July 23, the function of which is chiefly the election of three members of the Dominion council, to represent the Auckland
province. Remits were sent to the general conference being held in Wellington in September. Arrangements are well in hand for the antique exhibition at the end of December, and a sub-committee has been formed to work in conjunction with the guides and men's committees.
