WRESTLING.
BLOMFIELD AND KRUSKAMP. The mantle of popular favourite w>h the local wrestling enthusiasts which was in the past carried by George Walker, now appears to have fallen 011 the shoulders of "Lofty" Blomfield, a product of the Auckland gymnasiums. It is necessary only for Blomfield to continue the progress which he has made in the past few months to make him one *>f the really outstanding figures in the sport, and he already occupies a high place among the men who are now operating in the Dominion. At Wellington this week Blomfield succeeded in holding Wade to a draw, and, in doing so, greatly impressed the southern critics, who had not previously had an opportunity of discovering his present ability as a wrestler. Blomfield has exceptional size, and it is practically all muscle and bone that goes to make up his weight of nearly 17 stone. After having given excellent displays against Wade and JlcCready in the local ring, Blomfield will again be in action 011 Monday night, when he is to meet Hardy Kruskamp. Kruskamp contributed largely to the excitement which prevailed 011 Monday night when he met McCready, and he has won popularity- all over the country by reason of the lively and unorthodox manner in which he operates. Droplocks and flving tackles play a big part in his wrestling, while his speed and versatility never fail to add to the crowd's enjoyment.
