BOBBY CALVES.

OVERLAPPING TRANSPORT,

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ELTHAM, this day. A largely attended meeting of farmers of Rawhitiroa and Eltham discussed the question of overlapping in the collection of bobby calves, and urged that there should be fewer carriers and that calves should be sent to the nearest works. It was suggested that the Transport Coordination Board be approached with a view to eliminating overlapping, and the Meat Board to fix the price of bobby calf meat, so that farmers would know what their calves were worth. The •meeting resolved to endeavour to arrange to sell calves to the firms offering the best price.
