LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
AFFAIRS OF REFEREES. At the weekly meeting of the Auckland Referees' Association last evening, Mr. L. Bull presiding, various questions on club rulings were discussed for submission to 'the junior and senior managements. • It was decided to ask the junior management to endeavour to arrange for one linesman from each team to act as umpire in junior fixtures. Mr. C. Gedye reported having had a wallet containing a sum of money taken from his clothes in the dressing sheds at Victoria Park. A player had a suit stolen from the same quarter. The attention of the Board of Control was drawn to tlfc matter. In connection with the clashing of club colours in junior grades' it was decided to advise the authorities that the referees appointed had been empowered to refuse to take a match where colours were deemed confusing. Mr. P. Rogers was appointed to give a requested talk on rules to the Marist Club.
