An outbreak of fire occurred at the premises of the Australasian Slipper Manufacturing Company, Anzac Avenue, shortly before eight o'clock on Saturdaynight. The alarm »was given by a passer-by, and the smart arrival of two machines from the City Fire Brigade extinguished the flames before much damage was done.
