MILITARY FUNERAL

PAMTOE EX-SERVICEMAN. Over 50 members of the PanmureMount Wellington Ex-Servicemen's Club attended the funeral yesterday :f Gunner Thomas William Sabine, late 4th Howitzers and Trench Mortar Batteries, who was buried in the Panmih'e Cemetery. The funeral, a military one, was one of the largest and most impressive ever held in the district. It was attended by representatives of the Pensions Department, the Mount Wellington Fire Brigade, the Panmure Rugby dub, the local school committee and the Panmure Road Board. The club's padre, the Rev. R. J. Stanton, conducted the services in the house and at the graveside. The Last Post was sounded at the graveside.
