Infant Daughters Rescued From Fire. CHILDREN SLEEPING SOUNDLY. (Received 1.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Dashing courageously into a smokefilled room, Victor Sleigh, a former leading jockey and now a hotel licensee at Moonee Ponds, rescued his two infant daughters when fire occurred in the hotel early to-day. Although the flames were burning through the door of the bedroom, the children when aroused by their father, were sleeping soundly. The sitting room adjoining was burnt out.
