GIRL GUIDES.
Mesdames J. D. Joy and G. B. Isdale, of Ngaruawahia, recently addressed a meeting which had been called with the object of forming a girl guide company in Taupiri. The following officers w>jre elected: —President, Mrs. T. Reekie j secretary and treasurer, Mrs. J. Murphy; captain, Miss M. Reekie; committee, Mesdames N. Fulton, W. Waring, J. Bruce, T. MoDowall, G. Walter, G. Powell, sen., W. Moore, A. Button, and Misses J. Sowman and A. Waripg. It was decided to hold parades on Saturday evenings.
