MR. F. W. DOIDGE MENTIONED.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) MATAMATA, Thursday. It is understood that Mr. F. W. Doidge has been asked to contest the Rotorua seat in the interests of the new Democratic party at the forthcoming elections. Mr. Doidge, who was chief reporter of the "Auckland Star" at the outbreak of war, served in France and later became a' director cl "the "Daily Express" (London) and Lord Beaverbrook's chief of staff. He returned to New Zealand recently.
