Competitions Corner

THIS WEEK'S COMPETITION. WANGLED WORDS. Have you ever heard of "wangled words?" It is quite a long time since such a competition was conducted in Budget pages, and to many, perhaps, it will be quite new. i Competitors have a very simple task, all that is wanted being a list of words i that spell the same either backwards or forwards, as, for example, "level." Only English words may be used, and these must be arranged in strict alphabetical order. Forward your entries to Peter Pan, care "Star" Office, Shortland Street, Auckland, before Saturday next. There will be eight half-crown prizes for the best lists received.
