FLAVOURING.

An unusual flavouring which gives a new interest to both cakes and sweets is a grapefruit flavouring. It can be made simply from grapefruit rinds. Save a quantity of rinds and leave them in the oven to dry. Then grate and bottle them. The bottles should be perfectly airrtight. A flavouring of this kind would be found most useful for innumerable purposes, and is well worth the little preparation involved. It is particularly good for milk puddings.
