UNFIT HORSES.

A WAIKATO RECOMMENDATION

Arising out of the running of Electric Bell at the recent Winter Show meeting of .the Waikato Trotting Club at Claudelands the need of regulation to guard the public against a horse running at a meeting when not fit to do eo, was discussed at a meeting of the committee of the club on Thursday afternoon. It was felt by members generally that the excuse offered at an inquiry subsequent to a horse running below its true form that it was not fit, should be treated as an offence, and it was decided that a recommendation on these lines should be forwarded to the Trotting Association.
