STEAMERS IN DIFFICULTIES IN THE GREY Sunday two Union Steam Ship Company's steamers, the Omana and the Kiwitea, became stranded in the Grey River on the northern bank opposite the lower end of the wharf. The Kiwiiea was refloated, but the Omana remained fast till this morning, when she was refloated. The bottom picture, taken on Monday, shows the two steamers on the gravel bank, and in the one at top a rocket is being fired from the wharf to the Kiwitea.
