GREAT DOMAIN MEETING TO LIVE

The annual sports meeting held in the Auckland Domain on Easter Thursday, under the auspices of the Auckland Primary Schools Amateur Athletic Association, is to be continued as at present organised. This decision was carried by a substantial majority at a special general meeting of delegates yesterday, representing 40 affiliated schools, after full discussion of a motion having for ite object the abolition of the sports meeting as now organised, and the adoption of a group system embracing contiguous schools. Thousands of people in Auckland will be delighted with the dicision to continue the Dominion's most spectacular athletic carnival, at which the actual number of competitors on April 18 was 0279. This was exclusive of 792 folk dancers, making a grand total of over 7000.
