"BLACK-OUT" AIR RAID.

MIMIC WAR IN BRITAIN. LONDON, June 2. The first air raid "black-out" in Britain was conducted at 11.30 p.m., when 130,000 inhabitants of the neighbouring towns of Chatham, Rochester and Gillingham suddenly reverted to war-time conditions. War 'planes flew overhead, sirens shrieked, warning rockets soared into the air, and 100 square miles, including Chatham Dockyards, were thrown into darkness.
