SOCCER FIXTURES.

SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. PROGRAMME FOR TO-MORROW THISTLE-METRO. AT BLANDFORD.

The babies of the senior- grade, Metro College, will make their first appearanct at Blandford Park to-morrow afternoon when they will meet Thistle in the senior championship. A great ileal of interest centres in the match because of the twe vigorous teams that will be brought together, teams that yet play vastly different types of football. Metro are but a singlt point behind their opponents on the table, and that is a highly creditable positior for a young team making its debut in the highest grade. Thistle showed something like a return to form last week when they played at St. Helier's and registered hail a dozen goals, and they will be likely tc put forward their best endeavours to maintain this form. They will find Metre lusty opposition, a side that plays fast and hard football, if unorthodox, and the followers of the code may rely on seeing a stubbornly contested game at headquarters. A strong attraction will be the meeting of Ponsonby, the only unbeaten senior eleven, and Shore at Devonport. Shore are stubborn opposition on their own ground, and the battle for the points is certain to be vigorous and sustained, Eastern Suburbs and Y.M.C.A. meet at Victoria Park, and Mount Albert Grammar Old Boys will travel to Western Springs to oppose Comrades.
