MINOR CLUBS' CHAMPIONSHIPS.
The results to date of the annual championships played at the Training College courts, which were continued yesterday, are as follow :— A GRADE. Men's Singles.—Final: A. Fraser beat V. Thomas, ti —2, o—4. Ladles' Singles. — Semi-finals: Mrs. Orr beat Miss V. Gilpin, o—o, 0—1; Miss M. Hayhow beat Mrs. Callander, o—2, o—4. Men's Doubles.—Final: G. Allen and R. Gay beat W. Smith and C. Moor, o—3, o—3. Ladles' Doubles. —Final: Misses M. Hayhow and H. Elliot beat Mrs. Orr and Mrs. Cavage, 5 —7, o—3,0 —3, o—o. Combined Doubles.—Final: Mrs. Orr and j G. Grant beat Mrs. Callander and It. Somers, o—3, o—4. B GRADE. Men's Singles.—Semi-finals : H. Edwards beat T. Moor, 6—5, G 4; G. Moorhcad and J. Marrett have yet to meet. Ladies' Singles.—Seini-flnals : Miss Sage and Mrs. E. Taylor have yet to play; Mrs. Nicholson won by default from Miss Morton. Men's Doubles.—Semi-finals: TV. Bailey and G. Moorhead beat W. Gladstone and B. Clark, o—2, o—3 ; L. Anderson and A. Mason beat J. Best and J. Green, s—o, o—l, o—3. . Ladies' Doubles.—Final: Miss Sage and Mrs. Cavage beat Mrs. E. Taylor and Mrs. A. Hayhow, 7—5, o—4.
Combined Doubles. — Semi-finals: Miss Sage and G. Moorhead beat Miss Dunning
and D. Dickson, 6—o, (j—o; Mrs. Nicholson and I). Blssett beat Miss Kemp and A. Bright, o—3, o—l.
Arrangements are being made to complete all unfinished matches next Saturday.
In the inter-club competition Avulon were unbeaten in the A division, nnd thus win the championship cup for the 1034-5 season. The section winners in the B division played off yesterday, Whitworth winning i'roni Meadowbank by 11 rubbers to 7.
