(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY/April 30. From to-morrow the price of motor spirit will be advanced one penny a gallon throughout Britain. TALLOW PRICES. At the London tallow sales 320 casks were ottered and 159 sold, at an advance of 4/ to 0/. Fine mutton is quoted at 31/ per cwt, medium at 27/; line beef 20/0, medium 20/0. CHICAGO WHEAT VALUES. CHICAGO, May 1. Wheat for delivery in May is quoted at Chicago at 97% cents per bushel. For July delivery the rate is 98'/s cents, and for September n B% cents. AUSTRALIAN WOOL SALES. (Received 10 a.m.) BRISBANE, this day. At the wool sales a strong demand continued. All descriptions showed a firming tendency. Top prices were:—Greasy, lGd; scoured, 26% d. LONDON WJpOL SALE. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having received the following cablegram fronj their London house, dated Ist instant:—Wool sales: Very firm, expect rise in prices next week, VA per cent to 10 per cent, as compared with closing rates of last series.
