BRIDGE AFTERNOON.
NEW WOMEN'S CLUB. The New Women's Club Room looking festive and bright with flowers, was given up' to the social side of its work on Wednesday, tiic occasion being the opening meeting for the season of the bridge circle, when a large gathering of members and their friends attended. Among those present were Mesdames Darlow (president of the club), Sutton (bridge convener), Mills, Baylden, Margaret Loriiner, Boyd, Keenan, McKae, Waters, Collins, Robertson, Wood, Bramble, Smith, McDonald, Barley, Norton, Maxwell, Armitage, Daerc, A. E. Robinson, Cowan, Sawers, Bctkin, Wallnutt, Mitchell, Dyson, Humphries, Rae, Ward, Dencker, Misses Powell, Elclies and Norton. * The first prize went to Mrs. Keenan, and the hidden number to Mrs. Smith, while Mrs. 3oyd carried off the consolation prize. At the conclusion the president thanked all those present for their attendance, the convener also being thanked and complimented on the afternoon's arrangements.
