MUSICAL INNOVATION.
LATE COMERS SHUT OUT.
LONDON, April 28,
As a sequel to an incident in Covent Garden Opera House last season, when the conductor, Sir Thomas Beecham, shouted: "Stop talking," an innovation is announced for the season to be opened on Monday evening. The doors will be locked before the preludes to Wagner's "Lohengrin" and "Tristan and Isolde" are played, and no one will be admitted while the first act is in progress.
