LORD BLEDISLOE.

The brief cables telling us of the return to England of our former Governor-General. Lord Bledisloe, are sufficient to indicate that though he has left these shores his Lordship is still intensely interested in this Dominion, and it is to be hoped that the Government avails itself of his valued services whenever the opportunity arises. Lord Bledisloe has a thorough grasp of all the problems of the Dominion's primary producers, and now that he is free to speak his mind on such subjects he would make a particularly valuable representative in the coming meat negotiations. His opinions would be listened to with respect by the representatives of the Home Government and should carry more weight than the representations of Mr. Forbes and Mr. Coates. ADVANCE NEW ZEALAND.
