PERSONAL.

Sir Robert Anderson is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. E. C. Turner went South by the Limited last night. Mr. H. Miller leaves by the Niagara to-morrow for Suva. Mr. W. D. Holgate left for Wellington by the Limited last night. Mr. John H. Tait leaves for Sydney by the Wanganella this afternoon. Sir \James Gunson was a passenger for Wellington by the Limited last night. Sir William Hunt, who arrived from Wellington yesterday, is at the Grand Hotel. Lieut.-General Sir William Marshall and Lady Marshall sail by the Niagara to-morrow. Mr. P. Hally, conciliation commissioner, returned from Wellington yesterday morning. Wing-Commander T. M. Wilkes, Director of Air Services, left for Wellington by the Limited last night. The Rev. R. Fordham Clark, of New Plymouth, leaves by the Wanganella to-day on his way to England. Mr. P. Harle, principal of Harle's College of Accountancy, of Christcliurch, is in Auckland and staying at the Station Hotel. Mr. J. C. Irons, general manager of the Canadian-Australasian Line, leaves for Vancouver by the Niagara tomorrow. Lieut.-General E. T. Humphreys and Mrs. Humphreys, who have been touring the Dominion, sail by the Niagara to-morrow. The Rev. Dr. C. W. Gordon, of Winnipeg, and his daughter, Miss Ruth Gordon, leave for Sydney by the Wanganella to-day. Mi*. Roland Hill, of the law publishing firm of Butterworth and Company, London, who i<i on a visit to Auckland, is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. S. H. Harrison, of Auckland, and Mr. A. J. Harding, of Tauranga, were elected members of the Auckland Stock Exchange at the noon call to-day.

Mr. W. Duncan, secretary of John Fuller and Sons, Ltd., and the FullerHayward Theatre Corporation, Ltd., left for Wellington by the Limited last night. Lieut.-General Sir George Jeffreys, General Officer Commanding the Southern Command, India, accompanied by his "wife, Viscountess Cantelupe, and Mr. C. J. D. Jeffreys and Lady Rosemary Jeffreys, sail for Australia by the Wanganella to-day after a brief tour of the Dominion.
