MILK FOR SCHOOLS
QUESTION FOR GOVERNMENT. Government interest in the proposal to supply milk to school children was shown in a letter from the Minister of Health, Sir Alexander Young, received at a meeting of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council yesterday. "Proposals for facilitating and encouraging milk distribution to children at schools are at present under consideration, and the views of your council have been noted," stated the letter. Members expressed the opinion that the'v distribution of milk in the schools was a national matter, and the legislators would have to make up their minds as to what they proposed to do.
